Family/Origin []

Description: Periphetes was similar to a Cyclops in that he only had one eye. He was very large (height and weight) and was also lame in one leg, as was his father. He always carried around a heavy club that was bronze. He was considered a bad character because of his actions.

Myths[]

Theseus was ridding the road between Troezen and Athens of the bandits and bad people that were on it. Periphetes was the first one he saw. Theseus had just started his journey when he came across Periphetes. Periphetes wrapped a wooden club in a layer of metal to use on his next victim and decided that he would test it on Theseus’ head. Theseus grabbed the club out of Periphetes hand before he could be touched and then killed Periphetes with his own weapon. He justified it by saying to do unto others the evil they were about to do unto him.

Powers[]

Periphetes didn’t exactly have any powers other than the fact that he was stronger and bigger than most people. No one had ever defeated him until the day Theseus showed up. He was huge compared to the average man. Also, he had a large amount of strength that he used when he hit people and items with his club. He was also good at critical thinking because he was always thinking of ways that he could improve his club to be more successful with his robbing and kills.
